Aging and disabled veterans of Tucson-area requires skilled care now have a new facility to address those needs.
State officials, including Governor Jan Brewer and Secretary of State Ken Bennett, dedicated 130,000-square-foot Arizona State Veterans Home in Tucson on Friday.
A new home means the country will now be able to fill the holes in the networking services by providing a high level of care to those in need, the officials said. The House includes a 120 bed lives and will give a series of medical assistance, including rehabilitation of breathing and speech, occupational and physical therapy.
There are over 600,000 veterans in Arizona, and more than 102,000 people lived in the area of Tucson, officials said.
