Designed for life: “the barn” including House Art Gallery

Challenge: the client, an avid art collector, do not have enough room in the House of North Jersey to their growing collection. The two-story warehouse built the garage as a gallery space and entertainment arts. Compose in New Hampshire solid Douglas fir, it gathered at the site. Wood frame construction, in combination with insulated panels, provide maximum energy efficiency. However, the lights will not be recessed into the ceiling of wood, which makes the lighting artwork and the space in general challenge.

In the Gallery, I defined the three types of lights: the system tracks which can be repositioned if moved or changed jobs; cable system extending from the wall to wall for lighting art at the top of the barn; and the monorail over specific paintings. All equipment use energy efficient light bulb MR16/IR 37-watt UV and spread to various types of lenses.

In the area of entertainment, the ambient light originating from pendant fixtures 7-foot Center and sconces are installed in the balcony. Uplight gear on top of the ceiling highlight architectural details. A dimming control system scheme of lighting presets to offer a variety of events.
